The Business Office of the South Western School District handles all of the day to day business of the district, including internal services, such as health insurance benefits coordination, as well as external services, such as bidding and accounts payable.
The Business Office also assists in the preparation of the budget for the school year and works closely with all other departments to aid in the planning of both small scale as well as larger projects. Simply put, it is the heart of the district's financial operations.
Mr. Jeff Mummert, MBA, PCSBA, Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and Mr. Doug Fuhrman, Director of Accounting Services, oversee a broad spectrum of areas of the district's business, including:
- Budget, cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
- Investments, insurance program management, bidding, and purchasing
- Financial reporting, tax collection, debt service
